Content and IP policy

Every character, world and story you create with Animey must be your own creation. Describe your characters by their personality, look and history, not by pointing to someone else's. Shared ideas and familiar genres are fine; copies are not.

Animey never depicts real people. Do not describe, name or upload a real, identifiable person, whether a public figure, a celebrity, a politician, a creator or someone you know, and do not design a character to look or sound like one. Reference sketches must be drawings, never photographs of a face.

Do not name, describe or recreate an existing character, franchise, world, logo or trademark that belongs to someone else, and do not ask for the style of a named studio, artist or series. Our art style presets describe techniques in general terms and never name a studio, an artist or a franchise, and our checks refuse prompts that do.

Sexual content of any character is not allowed in any form: no nudity, sexual acts, sexualised poses or fetish content, whatever the character's age, species or art style, and nothing that sexualises minors. Every series is rated all ages or teen. There is no mature tier.

Stylised action belongs to anime: fights, chases, peril and battles are allowed at the level of the series' rating, milder for all ages than for teen. Gore, torture, graphic injury, lingering cruelty and self-harm are refused at every rating.

Character voices come from our curated library of licensed AI voices, many recorded with professional voice actors, or from ElevenLabs Voice Design, which creates a new synthetic voice from a written description. Animey has no voice cloning and accepts no audio or video upload, and a voice description must not ask for a real person's voice.

You can upload reference sketches as PNG, JPEG or WebP files of up to 10 MB. By uploading one, you confirm that you drew it or have the right to use it, that it does not show a real person and that it does not copy someone else's character. Each sketch is checked before we keep it, and only the checked copy is used.

• Text is checked in English, French and Arabic, with keyword lists and an AI classifier, before it is stored or used. Uploaded sketches are checked by an AI model that looks at the image.
• A refusal names the category, blocks that step and costs no credits. Nothing is generated.
• If a provider's own safety filter refuses a shot during generation, the shot fails and its credits are returned. We never send a refused request to another model to get around the refusal.
• Making a series' rating stricter checks everything the series already holds again.
• Checks are automated and can be wrong. Write to support@animey.ai if you think a refusal was a mistake.

You keep your rights in your ideas, text and sketches, and the content Animey generates for you is yours to use under the terms of service. We do not claim ownership of your series, and we do not use them to train our own AI models. Generated content is not unique and may not be protected by copyright in every country, so similar characters can appear in other people's work without anyone copying anyone.

To report content made with Animey that breaks this policy, write to abuse@animey.ai. If you hold the rights in a character or a work, or you recognise yourself in a character, write to legal@animey.ai with:

• the review link or a copy of the content;
• the work, character or person concerned, and your right to act for them;
• what you would like us to do, and how to reach you.

We review every report promptly. Where a report is well founded, we revoke review links, remove the content or suspend the workspace, and we tell the person who made it, who can reply with their side.

Breaking this policy can lead to refused generations, removed content, revoked review links, a suspended workspace or a closed account. Accounts that repeatedly infringe other people's rights are closed, and content that may be illegal is reported to the competent authorities.
