Terms of service

These terms are a contract between you and Softforge Digital LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16621737 (“we”, “us”), for the Animey service at animey.ai. The acceptable use and AI disclosure policy, the content and IP policy and the cookie policy form part of them, and the privacy policy explains how we handle your personal data.

You accept these terms when you create an account, which you may do only if you are at least 16 years old. If you use Animey for a company or another organisation, you accept them on its behalf and confirm that you may do so.

We may change these terms. We announce material changes by email or in the app at least 14 days before they apply; if you do not accept a change, you can close your account before it takes effect.

You sign in with a verified email address and password, a magic link sent by email, or your Google account. Keep your sign-in details to yourself: anything done in your session counts as done by you, and you must tell us at support@animey.ai if you think someone else has access.

Every account has a personal workspace that holds its series, credits and billing. Paid plans include seats for teammates you invite. Workspace owners and administrators manage members, credits and billing, and every member can see and edit the series of the workspace. What members make in a workspace belongs to that workspace.

Animey turns your ideas into original anime series: it writes series and character bibles, draws character sheets, locations and keyframes, voices dialogue, animates shots and assembles finished episodes with subtitles and music. It does this with AI models run by the providers named in the privacy policy.

Everything Animey generates is produced by AI. Results vary, can contain mistakes and can differ between two runs of the same request. Features marked as beta may change or be withdrawn at any time.

• One credit pays for one 5-second Standard shot. Reference and Cinema shots, character sheets, extra looks, location plates and voice designs cost the number of credits shown before you confirm.
• Credits are reserved when generation starts and spent when it finishes. Work that fails, is cancelled or is stopped by a safety check returns its reservation.
• Writing with AI, assembling and rendering episodes, subtitles, downloads and review links cost no credits. Writing with AI has a daily allowance.
• A new account receives a one-time trial of 10 credits, valid for 30 days, given once per email address and per network. Trial workspaces are limited to one series and one-minute episodes, and their renders carry a watermark.
• Plan credits are granted for each billing period and expire at its end. Top-up credits expire 12 months after purchase. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or sold.

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in billing; cancelling stops the next renewal, not the current period. Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown in US dollars, and the price shown before you pay is the amount charged.

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you may cancel a purchase within 14 days by writing to support@animey.ai. Because you ask us to start providing the service at once, we refund the purchase minus the value of the credits you have already used. Apart from that and from what the law requires, payments are not refundable.

You keep every right you have in the ideas, text and reference sketches you bring to Animey. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process and transmit them, and the content generated from them, only as needed to run Animey for you, including sending them to the AI providers that generate your work. The licence ends when you delete the content, apart from copies we keep for the periods set out in the privacy policy.

You confirm that you own or may use everything you upload or describe, and that using it with Animey does not infringe anyone's rights. Characters must be your own: the content and IP policy explains what that means for real people, existing characters, studios and artists.

As between you and us, the characters, images, voices, episodes and other content Animey generates for you are yours, and you may use them for any lawful purpose, including commercially, subject to these terms. We claim no ownership of them.

Generated content is not unique: similar requests can produce similar results for other customers, library and designed voices can be heard in other people's series, and AI-generated content may not be protected by copyright in every country. You are responsible for checking what you publish, for disclosing that it was generated with AI, and for the rules of the platforms you publish on. You must not remove, hide or crop the trial watermark.

You must follow the acceptable use and AI disclosure policy and the content and IP policy. We check prompts, bibles, scripts, shot lists and sketches automatically, refuse generations that break these policies, and may suspend a workspace that keeps trying.

You must not try to get around a refusal, a limit or the trial rules, open several accounts to collect trials, access Animey by automated means other than the app, probe or disrupt its security, reverse engineer it, resell access to its models, or use it to build or train a competing AI service.

Animey relies on hosting, storage, payment, email and AI providers. When you pay, Stripe's terms also apply; when you sign in with Google, Google's terms apply. A provider can change or withdraw a model, which may change the quality, length or price of a shot. The price in credits is always shown before you confirm.

We work to keep Animey available and your data safe, but we do not promise uninterrupted service or a set uptime on self-serve plans. We may change features, models and limits over time. If a change removes something you have already paid for, we tell you in advance and offer a fair remedy, such as a refund of the unused part.

You can stop at any time: cancel your subscription in billing, then delete your account in settings. Deleting an account deletes its personal workspace and every series, character, location, episode and render in it, so download your data and your episodes first.

We may suspend or close an account for non-payment, for a serious or repeated breach of these terms or our policies, or where the law requires it. Unless the situation prevents it, we tell you first and give you time to download your work. Sections 5, 6, 11 and 12 continue to apply after the agreement ends.

We provide Animey with reasonable care and skill. Apart from that, and as far as the law allows, the service is provided as it is, without other warranties, and AI-generated content may be inaccurate or resemble existing work by chance.

We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses such as lost profits, revenue or opportunities, or for content you publish. Our total liability for all claims in any 12 months is limited to the greater of what you paid us in those 12 months and £100. If you use Animey for a business, you are responsible to us for claims brought by others about content you uploaded or published in breach of these terms.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live and may also bring proceedings there.
